ECONOSTIR, MODEL MS-6

Designed especially for stirring the contents
of round-bottom flasks that are  being heated with
a flask heater such as a THERMOWELL or other heating mantle,
ECONOSTIR will also efficiently stir liquid systems in beakers,
          flat bottom flasks, etc.

          flat bottom flasks, etc.

Large size top, 6.0" x 6.0" will easily support
          a 500-mL THERMOWELL, or a 2-liter beaker.  The aluminum
top has a heavy epoxy coating which will resist spills from standard
          lab chemicals and solvents.
        Positive impeller-induced
ventilation draws cool air through bottom vents and forces it out through
the corner openings underneath the top, effectively cooling the top.
This unique design will keep the magnet and motor cool despite great
heat stresses from the operating flask heater.
The magnet is a 30-gram Alnico
V bar magnet, powerful enough to develop a 0.5 inch surface vortex with
unheated, undiluted glycol antifreeze in a half-filled 500 mL r.b. flask
that is being held by a THERMOWELL flask heater.

ECONOSTIR is equipped with a pilot
lamp, a 36" 3-wire cord, polyurethane feet, with a power consumption
          of 45 watts, 120 volts, 60 Hz.  It is 6.0" x 6.0" x 3.5"
high and weighs 3.2 pounds.  Stirring bar sizes recommended for
round-bottom flasks are Teflon coated straight bars 3/8" diameter
          1.25" to 1.5" for 500- and 1000-mL flasks, and 5/16"
diam. by 5/8" to 7/8" long for 50- and 100-mL flasks.
